The first ever purpose made dog drying coat created in 2010.
Exceptional quality with unique deep pile long thread fabric. Our fabric is thicker and more absorbent than others, does not snag or shrivel and will last a lifetime.
After testing all possible fabrics on wet dogs (cotton, bamboo, pretty patterns etc) the fabric (we have used for 15 years) was an outstanding winner. All other fabrics have tiny loops that snag and tear in time. Cotton and bamboo get very heavy when wet and the water stays in the coat or dying coat keeping your dog soggy for longer. Anything printed has to be thin to enable the printing process and the ink used further reduces absorbency.
A Surfdog Dog Drying coat can pull 4 times its weight in water from your dog. The deep pile fabric draws water away from coat and skin, moisture is pulled through the weave with capillary action until it reaches the outside surface. Once exposed to the air this water evaporates to completely dry your dog. Other coats get soaked though with just the outer layer of moisture in a dog's coat.
Made for Comfort. The coat wraps your dog up like a big hug to dry. Without any fiddly fastenings. Customers even use them as Thunder Coats. Nothing to flap, pull or pinch.
Full cover - our coats cover tummies, ears and bums (particularly important if they sit in the back of your car!)

No Velcro. We make each size to fit. Velcro stops working quickly. We use a long widewide snuggly belt that covers the tummy and ties easily on the back

We are unbelievably happy with our surf dog drying coat. The customer service we received is also incredible and they made sure we were 100% happy with our coat. Our girl loves swimming and now we pop this on her and she is dry after about 30 minutes which is amazing for a goldy! We cannot recommend highly surf dog enough.
First let me start by staying that i have purchased quite a few drying coats for my water/mud loving Golden, Majic. I have never been able to use each one more than twice. She has a sound sensitivity and the noise of the velcro closures can send her into a panic.
