Drying Coat Size Chart

Surfdog Australia sizes are not the same as you will find in the pet stores. So if you have a coat marked Medium do not assume our sizes are the same.

After measuring 1000’s of dogs we know how much room necks and tummies need and leave ample room.

You may spot a dog that looks just like yours in the size chart but it is still worth double checking. You just need to measure from collar to start of tail (which should be just over the bum). If you do not have a tape measure, find a bit of string, a sheet or anything that you can hold along your dogs back.. then find your Bunning's metal tape measure!

The drying coat should sit from the collar to just over the bum where the tail starts. Our drying coats have a tail hole at the end of the back to put the tail through. This keeps them in place, and gives a bit of flexibility in the back length. Make sure you always pull your dying coat forward as far as possible when you put on and before fastening the belt as to allow more room in the chest and less hanging down the bum.

We make our sizes by actually creating them around dogs of each size. This involves our dogs and our family and friends dogs.. and yes occasionally we find a missing size on the dog beach and measure up! We ask customers to send us images so we can constantly check this fit. .

Back length goes from collar to just over the bum to wear the tails start. This will be  your dogs back length. Hold your tape at the collar and go down to just over end of back where tail starts

Seeing our customers wearing the sizes is a big help, this may be all your need.

Please double check back length if not sure, especially if you are planning to add a custom name as these cannot be returned for ay reason. Any queries then please get in touch using our chat link.
