Dog Drying Coats
We made the first ever purpose made drying coat back in 2010. Today we continue to make the same exceptional quality with our unique deep pile long thread fabric. Our fabric is thicker and more absorbent than others, does not snag or shrivel and will last a lifetime. The coats are cut generously with snuggly hoods, bum and tummy cover. Thicker more absorbent fabric and more of it makes for better drying!
After testing all possible fabrics on wet dogs (cotton, bamboo, pretty patterns etc) the fabric (we have used for 15 years) was an outstanding winner. Cotton gets heavy and soggy, bamboo is just too lightweight, patterns have to be on thin fabric and absorb nothing. All of these have looped threads which snag.
A Surfdog Drying coat can pull 4 times it’s weight in water from your dog’s coat. The deep pile long thread fabric draws water away from coat and skin, moisture is pulled through the weave with capillary action until it reaches the outside surface. Once exposed to the air this water evaporates to completely dry your dog. Other coats get soaked though with just the outer layer of moisture in a dog's coat.

- 8 sizes Shaped for each size, giving ample room for chests, necks, tummies.
- No Velcro. We make each size to fit. Velcro stops working quickly. We use a long wide snuggly belt that covers the tummy and ties easily on the back
- Tail hole keeps the coat in place along the back and reduces stress by not restricting tails

Free Walk Dog Raincoats
'Free Walk' Raincoats are waterproof, lightweight coats which allow free walking without any restriction at either end! Easy to chuck on for a quick exit to walk in the rain. Great for dogs that what to get out quickly and not patient with coats. Not flimsy or flappy but a durable comfortable easy to use raincoat which we have made for many years as customers have demanded we do!
The Free Walk differs from the Super Raincoat as it does not have a chest panel but it's gives great tummy cover. Both of the raincoats can be worn with a harness on the top.
We made our first raincoats after an enquiry from The Guide Dogs Association for a light weight coat that can be worn with a harness. We discovered a huge gap in the market as most raincoats are made for the European market with a warm lining.

This unique design is a fully enclosed, with a panel between the front legs. Based on experience in designing whitewater gear with the aim of making a human grade life jacket for dogs.no velcro; just ergonomic fit, (that means they are dog shaped not box shaped!) balanced buoyancy and a secure lifting harness which is not stitched to the fabric but its own independent harness for safe lifting.

Enclosed The Harness Between The Front Legs
- Conventional lifejackets are open between the front legs, which can cause the heavy head and chest area to sink and fall through that gap - so we closed it with a continuous articulated chest and belly panel
- The enclosed design is better for buoyancy, security and comfort, particularly when being lifted
- Flotation in the under-chest panel supports the heavier shoulder area and helps keep the head higher in the water
- Attaching the handle to the full harness supports the dog fully, secures them firmly and eases pressure on soft issue
